Posted by sherburnecountyriseupriders on April 8, 2014 at 3:25 AM Comments comments (0)

2013 was by far the most successful yet! We spread our wings a bit more this year and were dumbfounded by how well it was received by everyone.

In appreciation for all our members, we hosted a 2013 banquet and really celebrated everything we have accomplished in such a short amount of time. Pictures can be seen of the festivities in our photo gallery. We plan on coming into 2014 with the same momentum and hoping everyone continues to show their support!

Our 2014 events are as followed:

  • June 20, 2014 - Barrel Race $300 added
  • June 28, 2014 - WSCA Game Show $100 Added
  • July 20, 2014 - WSCA Please Show $100 Added
  • August 1, 2014 - Barrel Race $300 Added
  • August 23, 2014 - WSCA Game Show $100 Added

Showbills can be found on our documents section or showbills section of this website!

2013 Recap

Posted by sherburnecountyriseupriders on November 5, 2013 at 11:45 PM Comments comments (0)

2013 was a very busy year for Sherburne County Rise Up Riders. We hosted more events than I think most clubs did. We wanted to try a little bit of everything this year to see where the demand is in our area. We started off the year with a few game shows and our first pleasure show which went really well considering it was a new experience for most of us. We also held a friday night barrel series sanction by United Barrel Racing Association with a 2day finale held labor day weekend.

On top of our events, we were still able to participate in many fundraisers and other misc projects around the fairgrounds to keep everything up and running. We are currently working out the details for our year-end banquet so we can all get together and reflect on a job well done by all our hard working members!

2014 will be another big year as we determine what events we want to host and what changes we want to make to keep bettering our club. We look forward to meeting new members and getting a fresh set of ideas! If you are interested in joining or just visiting at a meeting, our annual meeting is Friday December 6th, 2013 at 7:00pm at the American Legion in Elk River, MN.

Show Season Is In Full Swing

Posted by sherburnecountyriseupriders on June 13, 2013 at 1:15 AM Comments comments (0)

SCRURSC has had two events thus far this year! Our first show looked as if it was going to be rained out but the weather turned around for us! Our first of four barrel races was a success and you can see the results and current standings on our documents page. We have our double header game/pleasure shows coming up June 22 and June 23! Then our second barrel race is July 12th! We had nearly 60 entries in the open and are humbled by the support everyone has given us!

If you are interested in attending any of our events this year, all the showbills can be found under the documents or showbills section. If you are interested in becoming a member, we have our next meeting July 5th at the fairgrounds, 7pm. We meet at 6pm and do some general maintenance and cleanup.

Good luck to everyone this season!

2013 - Welcome Back Show Season!

As most of you know, Sherburne County Rise Up Riders Saddle Club has a lot on the agenda this summer! We had such a blast last year and wanted to bring that momentum into this year! Our first show is approaching in May and we added an additional senior class to break up one of the larger age divisions. This show will not have hi-point awards or ribbons as it was initially planned as a fun show. However, we have spent all winter gathering GREAT awards for our other events. Including customized bronc halters, embroidered horse sheets, haybags, trophies, etc.

Here is a sneak peak of what we have in store for all of you supporting us at our events:

Thus far we have a WSCA qualifying show and open 4D Barrel Race each month as well as a pleasure show in June. Each event June-August has some form of added money and sidepot/jackpot classes. See our documents page for more info.

SCRURSC is excited to get rolling and seeing all the familiar faces who made this possible.

HAPPY SPRING!

2012 Recap!

Posted by sherburnecountyriseupriders on October 6, 2012 at 11:30 PM Comments comments (0)

Sherburne County Rise Up Riders Saddle Club feels so blessed to have had such a successful first season! We were able to host more events than we imagined and have a lot of great things planned for 2013!

We had a fun show, 3 WSCA game shows and an open 4D barrel race. All of them seemed to run very smoothly and we received a lot of positive support! Even with our fair show resembling a lake, we were able to make the ground safe and reliable for our competitors.

In 2013, we hope to continue growing and continue our expansion. For example, we hope to host more barrel races, as well as a WSCA pleasure show alongside our game shows.

Stay tuned for more information, dates, and details. We would also like to Thank everyone for their support and also Thank our wonderful sponsors! You all made 2012 what it was!

SCRURSC has been working hard to get the fairgrounds in tip top shape for Saturday! We have been working the ground on a regular basis, painting fences, and getting our warm up arena set.

Check out the warm up arena's progress! It is being worked for better footing, we have spent hours cleaning up the rocks and I think it is better than ever! We want to start the 2012 season off the right way! I hope everyone can join us for our debut on Saturday!
